More Injury Problems For St. Louis's Johnny Beazley
Monday, July 21st, 1941
A bit of bad luck has fallen on the St. Louis Cardinals today as they learned that closer Johnny Beazley had suffered a setback in his recovery from biceps tendinitis and will miss more time than expected. The team's doctors had been optimistic about the player's return date, but have now rescinded the original date. The initial guess at how much more time he'll miss is 4 days.
For the year Beazley has 1 save in 10 relief appearances with a 2-2 mark and 3.72 ERA.
