|
San Francisco picked up a win at Gilmore Field, toppling the Hollywood Stars, 6-3. Pitcher Bill Walker was one of the reasons the Seals triumphed. Win Ballou earned his 8th save in 10 chances. San Francisco is now 58-36, 5 games up in the Coast League.
Quincy Trouppe, the top prospect , had a direct impact on the outcome. Trouppe contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the first inning to put San Francisco up, 4-0.
