Solons Even With Seals After Extra-Innings Win
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Nyquist Trophy Series, the San Francisco Seals could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Sacramento Solons emerged victorious, taking a 10-inning, 6-5 win. Sacramento left fielder Frank Demaree was named player of the game. He went was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 in the win at Seals Stadium today to drag the Solons back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

The most crucial at-bat for Sacramento came in the top of the tenth inning. That's when Demaree stroked a 1-0 fastball to left for a run-scoring single, putting Sacramento up, 6-5.

In postgame comments, Demaree said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow in San Francisco. Slated to start are Willie Foster for Sacramento and Lefty Gomez for San Francisco.
