Solons Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 3-0
The Sacramento Solons and the Seattle Rainiers went into extra innings at Dugdale Park today, with Sacramento emerging victorious. The 13-12 win means the Solons are now a game away from sweeping the Rainiers from the Governor's Cup Series. Solons third baseman Jud Wilson was named player of the game, as he was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Sacramento holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Edgar Wesley, hit a single. It helped Sacramento seize the win.

"We maximized our offense today," said Sacramento skipper Kurt Peterson. "That makes everyone's life easier."

The next game is set to be played on Sunday, October 9th, 1927 at Dugdale Park. Slated to start are Howard Craghead for the Solons and Elmer Phillips for the Rainiers.
