Holland Handcuffs Beavers, Seals Seize 2-0 Advantage in Governor's Cup Series
The San Francisco Seals got a strong performance from pitcher Bill Holland, who stymied the visiting Portland Beavers en route to a 11-2 win in Game 2 of the Governor's Cup Series today. The Beavers could never get a bead on the right-handed Holland, who threw 9 innings of 8-hit ball to earn player of the game honors. The Seals now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

The Seals picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Holland said.

Game 3 is set to be played on Friday, October 9th, 1925 at Vaughn Street Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Bill Holland for the Seals and Paul Fittery for the Beavers.
