Stars Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, September 25th, 1930 It's a better-luck-next-year situation for the Hollywood Stars, as the club today became mathematically eliminated from postseason consideration. Team manager Martin Abresch said "it's always a letdown" to miss the playoffs, but added that he was proud of his club's effort. This is the 6th time in a row that the Stars have missed the playoffs. Their last payoff appearance was in 1924. |
