Sigafoos Goes 5-for-5 Against Mission
Thursday, September 18th, 1930
5 times is the charm -- at least for Frank Sigafoos.

The Portland Beavers second baseman tore up the Mission Bells to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Vaughn Street Park today. The offensive onslaught from Sigafoos powered the Beavers to a 15-1 win.

"Sigafoos was a tough out today," Mission manager Mike Heath said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Frank Sigafoos doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.

To date Sigafoos has chalked up a .342 average with 17 home runs, driven in 84 runs and scored 110 times.
