Oaks Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Friday, August 29th, 1930 Andy Cooper said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Oakland Oaks after they missed the Pacific Coast League playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. The Oaks last missed the playoffs in 1928. Oakland has won the Nyquist Trophy Series 2 times in their history. |
