Big Day with Bat: Mackey 5-for-5 Friday, September 20th, 1929 The Seattle Rainiers upended the Mission Bells at Recreation Park today, thanks in large part to catcher Biz Mackey, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Rainiers to a 12-6 victory. Biz Mackey singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Merton Nelson in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
