Super Week for Mission's Johnson! Monday, August 27th, 1928 Veteran Heavy Johnson had a great week at the plate for the Bells to capture the majority of votes for Player of the Week in the Pacific Coast League. The 33-year-old Mission right fielder built a .481 average on the strength of 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 RBIs. Thus far this year Johnson has hit .323 with 13 home runs and 90 RBIs. |
