Seals Shut Out by Manning, 1-0
Sunday, July 13th, 1941
It was not a good day at the plate for the San Francisco Seals. They came up empty when it mattered against Seattle Rainiers right-hander Max Manning, who scattered 7 hits across 9 innings and held the Seals scoreless.

"We had 7 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," San Francisco manager Mark Velez said later.

Manning chalked up 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 1-0 Rainiers win.

This year Manning has posted a 8-8 mark in 16 starts and has a 2.68 ERA.
