League Punishes Pair for Fighting Tuesday, June 24th, 1941 After an intense confrontation, both the Angels Clarence Maddern and the Solons Nub Kleinke were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Los Angeles-Sacramento game. Clarence Maddern will miss 4 games, while Nub Kleinke was suspended for 2 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Clarence Maddern commented later.
