The number just keeps getting higher.

Los Angeles second baseman George Scales has now extended his hitting string to 32 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 2 at-bats as the Los Angeles took the 6-2 win over the Portland Beavers at Wrigley Field L.A..

"Who knows how long it will go on?" Portland manager Doug Martin said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now."
George Scales walked in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th.

Scales's current batting average stands at .372 and he has chalked up 6 home runs and 25 RBIs.
