Hot Bat Cooled, Heath Hitless Against Rainiers
Saturday, May 24th, 1941
After 21 games, Jeff Heath had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by the Seattle Rainiers at Gilmore Field. The Hollywood Stars right fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats, bringing his tenure in the national spotlight to a halt.

Despite the tough day at the plate, Heath seemed unconcerned after the game, talking instead about the Stars taking a 6-0 victory from the Rainiers.

"It was good while it lasted," Heath said. "If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory."

For the year Heath is batting .336 with no home runs.
