Hot Iron Burns Beavers Maltzberger Tuesday, April 25th, 1939 Beavers closer Gordon Maltzberger required medical attention yesterday after severely burning himself in his hotel room. Maltzberger apparently burned leg while ironing a pair of pants, but shrugged off suggestions that he may have actually been wearing the pants while ironing them. "I'm seriously not that stupid," said Maltzberger. "The iron just slipped and came down against my leg. No big mystery." |
