Seals Come up Short of Playoffs

It came down to the wire, but in the end, a playoff bid escaped the San Francisco Seals. The club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today.
The Seals have missed the playoffs 11 times in their 17 years as a Pacific Coast League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1935. In the last 10 seasons, the Seals have missed the playoffs 7 times. San Francisco last won the Nyquist Trophy Series in 1936.
