Bells Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, October 2nd, 1937 Mission Bells manager Mike Heath said his players are "devastated" to have missed the playoffs. Today it became official -- the club has run out of games and was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for a spot in the postseason. Mission last appeared in the postseason in 1935. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Bells have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
