Wednesday, September 15th, 1937
All game long, Seattle's Ray Jacobs was rattling the walls at Civic Field and banging out base hits against the Sacramento Solons. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Rainiers had a 13-6 victory.

Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 35-year-old first baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

Ray Jacobs doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Bob Klinger in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Jacobs is currently batting .348 with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs.
