Hebert Gone for Season in San Diego

The season is ending on a bad note for Wally Hebert, starting pitcher for the San Diego Padres. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Hebert was hurt against the Portland Beavers while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn labrum and will be out for at least 5 months.

Hebert has posted a 10-8 record for the year with a 3.73 ERA. Teams are hitting .265 against him and he has rung up 62 strikeouts in 149.2 innings.
