PCL Player of the Week Selected Monday, August 16th, 1937 Fred Berger is respected by most Seattle Rainiers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 28-year-old right fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .542 average (13-for-24) with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Berger has hit at a .332 pace and produced 45 RBIs, 13 home runs and scored 51 runs. |
