Craghead Mystifies Oakland

A masterful pitching performance carried the Hollywood Stars to a 5-0 victory over Oakland. Howard Craghead held the Oaks scoreless in a complete-game effort.

He permitted 6 hits, had 4 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk.

"Craghead was sharp," Oaks manager Pete Grassi said later. "We never did figure him out."

On the year Craghead has compiled a 3-1 mark with a 2.51 ERA.
