Oakland Loses McEvoy for Year Saturday, July 7th, 1934 The Oakland Oaks were dealt a blow today when starting pitcher Lou McEvoy left the game with an undisclosed injury. The team has now revealed that McEvoy has suffered a torn labrum and will most likely miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury. So far this season McEvoy has a 3-9 record, 14 starts, 106.2 innings, 38 strikeouts and a 5.23 ERA. |
