Star of the Week Awarded in PCL Monday, July 24th, 1933 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Bob Johnson was rewarded with the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Portland Beavers left fielder hit .444 while collecting 8 hits in 18 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. For the year Johnson is batting .319 with 17 home runs. |
