20-Game Hitting Streak for Dixon
Saturday, July 1st, 1933
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.

Rap Dixon did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Seals Stadium today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 30-year-old right fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Mission Bells beat the Seattle Rainiers 4-3 today.

"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Dixon told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Mission clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day."
Rap Dixon grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 8th.

In 70 games this season Dixon is batting .398 with 111 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 46 runs and driven in 62.
