Monday, August 1st, 1932
Wally Berger is respected by most Los Angeles Angels fans for his no-frills style of play. The 26-year-old left fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .542 average (13-for-24) with 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
This year Berger is hitting .350 with 28 home runs and 92 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .400 clip and scored 89 runs.
