Cincinnati-New York Trade: Myers for Wieczorek Saturday, July 5th, 1941 The players apparently knew they were on the trading block, so it did not surprise one of them when he learned that he had been traded to Cincinnati. The Reds will receive 26-year-old C Chester Wieczorek, while 30-year-old SS Billy Myers and 24-year-old 1B Jack Bolling will go to the New York Giants. In his stats this season, Myers has posted a batting average of .190 with 12 hits in 63 at-bats, 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. He has also scored 8 runs, walked 7 times and compiled a .268 OBP.
