St. Louis Loses Mills for Year Friday, July 4th, 1941 Lefty Mills has to call it a season. The St. Louis Browns reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Cleveland Indians and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Mills was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a fractured elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 5 months. |
