Matlock, on Top of His Game, Beats Brooklyn, 4-0 Saturday, June 28th, 1941 Leroy Matlock of the Boston Braves worked his mound magic on the Brooklyn Dodgers. He blanked them 4-0 on 4 hits, registering 6 strikeouts and 4 walks. "Making good pitches is the name of the game and I made some good ones in this one," said Matlock after the game.
