Mickey Harris Hurt, Out for Year
Tuesday, June 17th, 1941
The season is apparently over for Mickey Harris. The Boston Red Sox medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 13-14 months with a ruptured elbow ligament. Harris was hurt in the game against Detroit while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.

Season-to-date Harris has rung up 3 wins and 5 losses in 12 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.44 and has fanned 36 batters in 81 innings.
