Koy Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, May 8th, 1940 Ernie Koy collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Brooklyn Dodgers, beat the Chicago Cubs 9-1. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Koy quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Ernie Koy flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd and doubled in the 5th. Thus far this year Koy has hit .364 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
