Feller Whitewashes Athletics Thursday, July 28th, 1938 Starter Bob Feller was in charge the whole game in the Cleveland Indians victory over the Philadelphia Athletics today. In a superb performance, Feller blanked Philadelphia 5-0, yielding 4 hits while registering 10 strikeouts and 5 walks. "That was a fun one," the 19-year-old said later.
