No-Hit Masterpiece by Wolff
|
Is it better to be lucky or good?
After leading the Philadelphia Athletics to victory, 3-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Boston Red Sox, Roger Wolff didn't have the answer.
"I don't know," Wolff said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both."
On his big day at Fenway Park II, Wolff fanned 2 and had 5 walks. And it seemed that when the Red Sox managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender.
"That's how you get a no-hitter," Wolff said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
