Eddie Smith of the Philadelphia Athletics humiliated the Chicago White Sox at Shibe Park today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 6 hits.

"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Chicago manager , after the game.

Smith whiffed 1 and walked 0 in the 2-0 win.

"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Smith said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."

To date this season Smith has compiled a 10-9 record with a 3.21 ERA in 25 starts.
