5-Hit Blitz by Chapman
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Philadelphia's Sam Chapman made it happen today against the Red Sox. Everything came together at the plate for the 25-year-old center fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Athletics to a 18-2 win at Shibe Park.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Chapman said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."

Sam Chapman singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Dutch Dietz in the 7th.
