Ruffing Tosses 1-0 Shutout Against St. Louis
|
St. Louis dropped a 1-0 shutout to Red Ruffing and the Washington Senators at Griffith Stadium I today. The Browns offered little resistance to Ruffing, who stopped them on 2 hits, fanned 3 and walked 3.
"It just felt right today," the right-handed Ruffing told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
So far this year Ruffing has 4 wins and 2 losses and a 3.52 ERA.
