|
Seattle dropped a 5-0 shutout to Ray Harrell and the Portland Beavers at Vaughn Street Park today. The Rainiers offered little resistance to Harrell, who stopped them on 4 hits, fanned 6 and walked 2.
"It just felt right today," the right-handed Harrell told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
His stats sheet for the year shows Harrell has managed to hold opponents to a .292 average in no relief appearances, while putting up 10-16 record with 81 strikeouts and 88 walks in 225 innings. He has a 4.72 ERA with no saves.
