Seals Rally For Late Win Over Beavers
The Portland Beavers went down to defeat to Charley Schanz and his San Francisco teammates. The final score was 4-0 in favor of the Seals. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 85-60.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Joe DiMaggio to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Seals on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Schanz said.
