The Los Angeles Angels picked up a win at Wrigley Field L.A., knocking off the Sacramento Solons, 5-4. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Ralph Buxton, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Los Angeles pushed its record to 75-57.

In the bottom of the third, Lou Novikoff hit a 2-run double. The 10th double of the season for the Los Angeles left fielder put the Angels on top, 2-0.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Novikoff. "And not try to do too much."
