Solons Snatch Late Win
|
The Sacramento Solons picked up a win at Moreing Park, knocking off the Los Angeles Angels, 3-1. On the mound for Sacramento was left-hander Tom Seats, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sacramento reliever Red Munger picked up the win, upping his record to 4-5. Ray Prim absorbed the loss. Les Webber was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Sacramento took a 3-0 lead on Nick H Cullop's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Los Angeles pitcher Ray Prim in the bottom of the eighth.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Seats said in reaction to the win.
With the victory, the Solons upped their record to 66-55.
