Beavers Lose to Angels, 4-2
|
The Los Angeles Angels and Portland Beavers played an exciting game.
Starting pitcher Ralph Buxton was a major factor in the 4-2 Los Angeles Angels triumph over the Portland Beavers. The win gives Los Angeles a season record of 57-42.
In the bottom of the second, Gene Lillard hit a 2-run home run. The 13th home run of the season for the Los Angeles third baseman put the Angels on top, 2-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Los Angeles skipper Al Borie.
