Solons Absorb 5-2 Loss at Sick's Stadium
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Rainiers beat the Solons.
Seattle Rainiers starter Hal Turpin was in fine form against the Sacramento Solons at Sick's Stadium, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Turpin, now 3-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 1, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.
Eddie Kearse aided the Seattle cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Turpin.
Seattle now has a 3-game win streak.
