Munger Goes Distance in 2-1 Win

The Sacramento Solons did just enough to secure a victory over the Los Angeles Angels, 2-1, at Wrigley Field L.A.. Nobody did more than pitcher Red Munger. Sacramento is now 29-35, while Los Angeles is 38-26.
Munger, who was born in Houston, Texas, threw 123 pitches over 9 innings, while allowing 1 run.
Munger told a Sacramento Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
