Solons Collect 3-2 Win Over Rainiers
The Sacramento Solons faced a tough opponent in Seattle pitcher Ray Brown, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Moreing Park by a final score of 3-2. Brown went 9.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Sacramento has now won 3 in a row.

The Solons procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Earl Averill. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Averill said.
