Leonard Leads Padres to Win
The San Francisco Seals and San Diego Padres were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Buck Leonard was a major contributor to the 13-6 San Diego win over San Francisco. The Padres first baseman was 4 for 6 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. With the win, the Padres sit at 29-22.

San Diego used a well-timed hit by Eddie Pellagrini to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Padres ahead, 7-5. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Pellagrini.
