Padres Get One-Run Win at San Francisco
A 3-RBI performance from Buck Leonard, who led the PCL in wins above replacement with 7.9 in 1936, helped the San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Seals, 6-5. Getting the save was William Thomas, his 3rd. San Diego now has a record of 28-22 with the win.

Ted Williams, the top prospect , had a direct impact on the outcome. Williams contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put San Diego up, 3-2.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Leonard.
