Angels Lose to Seals, 7-1
|
Starting pitcher Larry Jansen had a solid game. He was a big reason the San Francisco Seals throttled the Los Angeles Angels, 7-1. Jansen went 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. The loss makes Los Angeles 15-13.
Ray Dandridge dealt the Angels a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and San Francisco leading 1-0, Dandridge, who is tied for 4th in the PCL in RBI with 19, hit a first pitch screwball for a 2-run double.
"I felt we were ready to go," said San Francisco manager Mark Velez. "Our pregame was pretty good."
