						Sacramento Wins, Gibson goes 3-for-4
					 |

Led by Josh Gibson, the Sacramento Solons defeated the Portland Beavers, 8-2. Gibson went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Solons. Red Munger got the win, improving to 3-1. He held the Beavers to 2 runs on 6 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The win has Sacramento at 12-7.
Gibson contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Sacramento in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Gibson took a fastball from Larry French and stroked the home run to center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Solons to leap in front, 3-2.
"We played hard and won," said Gibson. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
