						Johnson Reaches 2000 Milestone
					 |

The Portland contest with Sacramento featured a real shining moment: Bob Johnson, the Beavers first baseman, collected career base hit #2000. That his team lost the game, 7-5, took away only a little bit of the luster. Fittingly, the 35-year-old Johnson, who went 1-for-2, received a warm ovation from the Vaughn Street Park crowd.
Johnson's all-time stats include: 2000 hits, 343 doubles, 48 triples, 285 home runs and 1236 RBIs in 1760 games. He is batting .300 with 58 stolen bases and has scored 1147 runs.
