Detore Shines in 5-1 San Diego Win
A 4-RBI performance from the 34-year old catcher George Detore helped the San Diego Padres beat the Los Angeles Angels, 5-1. The Angels fall to 5-8 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Detore had a key at-bat for San Diego early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and gave San Diego an early 2-0 lead.

"We'll savor this win," Detore told the San Diego Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
