						Gomez Wins Number 200
					 |

Lefty Gomez of the San Francisco Seals will go down as one of the league's legendary pitchers after his 8-3 win today against the Portland Beavers.
"It felt like it was a postseason game, one out at a time," said his manager. "It was something special to see."
The 32-year-old Gomez picked up his 200th career victory at Vaughn Street Park. He hurled 9 innings, gave up 6 hits and registered 5 strikeouts along with 6 walks.
"I've worked a long time for this," Gomez said. "I can't believe it's really here. It feels great!"
Gomez has compiled a lifetime ERA of 3.50 with 200 career victories and 145 defeats. He has 1786 career strikeouts in 3126 innings and has held opponents to a .253 batting average.
